Getting outside in the garden is great for both your physical and mental health, and many people have discovered a passion for gardening over the last few years.
Personally, I really love making my regular visits to garden shows each summer. There’s something very special about looking around the show gardens, drinking in the scent of the Floral Marquee and treating myself to a few new plants. Of course, the delicious food and drink also helps!
So I’m really looking forward to visiting BBC Gardener’s World Live this June. It’ll be my first visit for a few years, and I’m excited to see what’s new.
The show will run from 18th-21st June 2026 at the Birmingham NEC, and there’s a lot to look forward to. Read on to check out what’s in store at BBC Gardener’s World Live 2026, and save money on show tickets.

What’s in store for 2026
There’s plenty to see and do at this year’s show, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced gardener. Kids can enjoy a range of hands-on children’s activities, organised by The Conservation Volunteers (TRV), including a scavenger hunt, bug hotel building and seed planting.

Stunning Show Gardens
I’m really looking forward to checking out the Show Gardens at BBC Gardeners’ World Live.
The headline Show Garden for this year’s show is The Evolution Garden, which traces the evolution of plants and life forms through to the present day. A central path leads from a tunnel entrance through time, primitive plants and the beginnings of human life.
The FSC®UK Forests for Everyone Garden features one lush, tropical garden zone featuring endangered plants under threat and a second zone showing the stark effects of deforestation. The Heart of the Jungle is an exotic urban garden, while the Artist’s Garden is a charming traditional cottage garden.
There’ will also be a fascinating selection of Showcase Gardens, highlighting everything from voluntary railway service and ancient stories about plants to the bold impact of pink planting. You can also view over 30 Beautiful Borders inspired by the theme, ‘Once Upon a Time’.
The Floral Marquee

I always love wandering around the Floral Marquee at a garden show, taking in the gorgeous sights and intoxicating scents.
Highlights inside the Floral Marquee include the Let’s Talk Plants stage, where you can get expert plant advice from the BBC Gardeners’ World presenters and the Pot Swap by Wool-Pots where you can get a sustainable alternative for your newly-purchased plants’ plastic pots.
I’m very excited about visiting the International Orchid Show featuring stunning displays and expert advice from specialist societies and nurseries
And as always, you’ll be able to see some of your favourite BBC Gardeners’ World presenters at the show. Monty Don, Adam Frost and Frances Tophill are among those already confirmed to appear, and Professor Alice Roberts from the University of Birmingham will be joining the team to discuss The Evolution Garden.

And much more
The BBC Good Food Show will bring a taste of summer to the Show, with a mix of artisan food and drink producers. You can tuck into delicious street food, pick up yummy treats and ingredients to take home, and enjoy some special show offers .
And the BBC Introducing … at BBC Gardeners’ World Live stage will showcase local music talent and Bandstand buskers.
There’s so much to see and do – you can find out more over on the BBC Gardeners’ World Live website.

I’ve made so many well intentioned mistakes that my lawn looks like a patchwork quilt designed by someone with very questionable taste. I would listen to advice from the show experts and I would also enjoy chatting to any visitor at the show who can tell me how to evict moss and pesky ants from my lawn.
Greenhouses, growing systems, tools, irrigation, hardy plants.
